The semantics of the awakening of Africa joins the new look that many young Africans, uninhibited in relation to the generation of their parents, have on the continent and on themselves.
But make no mistake, the dynamics of creating start-ups in Africa remain very mixed. Be that as it may, Africa stands out as the youngest continent (43% of its population is under 14) and the most enterprising in the world. In Nigeria 39.9% of the population aged 18 to 64 carry out entrepreneurial activities, 38.6% in Senegal, 26% in Ghana, against only 9.9% in India and 5.3% in France.
But today, it is clear that these statistics feed the omnipresence of a (hyper)mediatized discourse which tends to highlight "African start-ups", and through them entrepreneurship, as the panacea facing the challenge of the employability of young Africans. Which is often an easy and inaccurate shortcut.

A central link in the value chain for strengthening the formal entrepreneurship fabric in Africa, the cluster (Structures d'Accompagnement à l'Entrepreneuriat Innovant) must be the subject of particular attention from the actors of economic and social development on the continent. It is clear that they present disparities in terms of offer and levels of maturity, and that support aimed at better equipping and structuring them will make their activities more impactful. But they have undeniable intrinsic assets that development stakeholders in Africa - governments, donors, private companies and civil society - must take advantage of to develop initiatives that are relevant because they are aligned with local realities.
